What you hear from us is real music, played by real musicians and singers who have spent years honing their skills to bring you great music. The Tone River record label was created by the multi award winning media creator Paul “Doc” Stewart as a vehicle to release new material he is making now, leaving his Musicosis label for back catalogue. Our inventory covers everything from modern folk, great Neo-Rockabilly, true Teddy Boy style Rock ‘N’ Roll and much more. We work in collaboration with I•II MUSIC (oneelevemmusic.co.uk) our music production and publishing company, to bring you the best and most unforgettable music.
The Tone River label is one of three musical wings of Paul Stewart Media, a multi faceted media company founded by Paul “Doc” Stewart and his wife, the photographer and visual artist, Vivien Stewart. The others are the afore mentioned I•II MUSIC our production and music publishing company and Musicosis the back catalogue label. The Stewart’s have been running Paul Stewart Media for over 20 years and have worked on numerous photographic and film projects together. One Eleven Music, founded by Doc Stewart, celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2024, produces and record music for both musical releases and sound track music for Paul Stewart Media’s films. One Eleven Music is a “full service” production company and can provide a complete service to artists from conception through to the delivery of finished articles for release. This includes photography and design services.
Why is it called Tone River?
The Stewarts relocated to Taunton in 2022 and live very near the River Tone, which gave the town it’s name… It seemed to be inevitable,
